Our annual report for 2023 has recently been published.
It has been an exciting and challenging year in equal measure – we celebrated our 25th anniversary and also said goodbye to some old friends and welcomed new ones, including Matt Young, our new Therapeutic Horticulture lead. Matt spent ten years as Senior Lecturer with BMet at Birmingham Botanical Gardens. He has also worked in garden maintenance, landscaping and retail plant production.
We also demolished the Mollie Martineau building – you can read more about that and our plans for the space here. We now have planning permission for the proposed building – so now we just have to raise the money to make it happen! If you can donate please do!
We also said a very sad goodbye to our longstanding volunteer, Munsab, who is sadly missed.
Thank you to erveryone who has volunteered, donated their time or money, and generally supported the gardens this year – we couldn’t do it without you! We can’t wait to do it all again next year – so hopefully we will see you in 2024 for a cuppa!
