Coronavirus Statement April 1, 2020

In line with recent government guidance on Coronavirus (Covid-19), we’ve taken the difficult decision to temporarily close Martineau Gardens to visitors. Most of the staff at Martineau Gardens are furloughed. Nature carries on, of course,  and the Gardens will be tended by remaining staff (following safety procedures). We are retaining an essential employee to monitor communications.

Contact details: [email protected]

Please bear with us, response back will take longer than usual.

Our telephone line will not be monitored.

We would like to thank you so very much for your support for Martineau Gardens, we will re-open when all is well to do so and advise you of this, when we are able, via our website, emails and social media.

We hope you stay safe and well and we look forward to the time, when we can welcome you back to the tranquility of Martineau Gardens.

Weathering the storm

We need your support more than ever during these difficult times. Please help us to carry on being the hope in many people’s lives. As a small organisation we’re facing challenges, (staff and volunteers are self-isolating and social distancing, events and venue hires are being cancelled and the corresponding income streams reducing), we are doing our best to weather the storm.

Donations now will ensure our running costs are met meaning we can continue to be the place where people, plants and wildlife meet.

Please donate here.
