Spend Monday mornings at Martineau Gardens and get your week off to a great start!
We are running free, outdoor sessions in Tai Chi and Mindfulness, as well as Yoga by the log burner in the pavilion.
Yoga 10am – 11am
Tai Chi 11.15am – 12:15pm
Mindfulness Walk 12:15pm – 12:45 pm
The Tai Chi qigon session is led by Kim Knowles. Find mind and body, balance and connection through breath and movement co-ordination through gentle repetitive movements. Unless the weather is very bad, these sessions will be held outdoors, so wrap up warm. Kim will also lead a sensory walk and mindful activity. Discover more about the gardens and take time to slow down and recharge.
Yoga will be lead by long-standing friend of the gardens Margaret Holmes. The sessions are suitable for beginners as well as those with experience and will include yoga postures, breathing practices and relaxation.
Currently, there is no need to book, drop in and enjoy some or all of the sessions. If it’s your first session, please arrive 15 minutes before the session starts, to complete a registration form.
In February, we are hoping to extend our ‘Wellbeing Mondays’ and offer a free creative wellbeing session on Monday afternoons. Learn new skills, spend time with lovely people and give yourself some time to be creative.
