Martineau Mondays Spring

Spend Monday mornings bathed in nature at Martineau Gardens and get your week off to a fabulous start. We have absolutely no doubt that you will leave feeling brighter and more focused than when you arrived!

Join the free, outdoor sessions in Tai Chi,  Mindfulness and Yoga (indoors until the weather gets warmer!)  Martineau Gardens is closed on bank holidays, including  Mon 29 August

New timetable from 6 June:

Yoga   (inside)                                10:00 – 11:00

Tai Chi    (outside)                        10:30 – 11:30

Mindfulness Walk   (outside)      12:00 – 12:45

The Tai Chi qigong session is led by Kim Knowles. An exercise style suitable for all ages and abilities, QI gong is a series of gentle flowing movements, with the aim to increase/improve your breathing, resulting in mind and body balance. These sessions will be held outdoors, so wrap up warm (only cancelled if the weather is very bad).

Kim will also lead a sensory walk and mindful activity. Discover more about the gardens and take time to slow down and recharge.

Yoga will be led by long-standing friend of the gardens Margaret Holmes. The sessions are suitable for beginners as well as those with experience and will include yoga postures, breathing practices and relaxation.

Currently, there is no need to book, feel free to drop in and enjoy some or all of the sessions. If it’s your first session, please arrive 15 minutes before the session starts, to complete a registration form.

We are hoping to extend our ‘Wellbeing Mondays’ before too long and offer a free creative wellbeing session on Monday afternoons. Learn new skills, spend time with lovely people and give yourself some time to play.
