Volunteer Habitat Workgroup Co-ordinator

We need someone with an interest in conservation and protection of wildlife, who has good organisational skills to lead our wildlife volunteers. The role is to arrange days for working parties to carry out  maintenance in the woodlands.   We use a mix of approaches, with some areas managed by coppicing and other spaces left as wild as possible for the wildlife to shape to their needs.  The work helps to provide a mix of different habitats, from piles of dead wood which can help beetles and fungi to nettles which help butterflies and other pollinators. If you have a passion for wildlife and the ability to manage a small team of volunteers, please introduce yourself by email to gill@martineau-gardens.org.uk
