The Smartest Giant in Town with Folksy Theatre Wed 10 August 6.30pm
A wonderful family-friendly outdoor theatre experience is taking place at Martineau Gardens this summer, back for the third year, we’re delighted to welcome Folksy Theatre with this popular children’s show. George was very happy being the scruffiest giant in town. But one day, when he sees a shop stocking giant-size clothes, he decides it’s time to update his image. With smart clothes, George is a new man. However, as he journeys home, he meets various animals who desperately need his help. George’s kind heart and generosity take him on an adventure where he discovers that it’s not how you look that’s important but how you feel. Folksy’s musical adaptation of Gruffalo creator Julia Donaldson’s wonderful book will be filled with puppetry, colourful characters and songs, that will have you clapping and singing along!
If you saw ‘Wind in the Willows’ here last year, then we hope you’ll remember how lively this theatre group are in bringing books alive for a family audience. Take a look at photographs from previous productions, here at Martineau Gardens and around the country
