Day of the Dead Celebrations – Dia de muertos

Sugar Skulls Workshops for children. Members of the Mexican Community in the Midlands are running a ‘Day of the Dead’ activity to share the tradition with you.

See the altar that will be set up at Martineau Gardens keeping one of Mexico’s most ancient traditions alive here in the Heart of England. Come and decorate a sugar skull, you can eat them or place them on the  altar as a decoration.

The Gardens (normally closed to the public on Sundays) will be open for ticket holders only for two hours – attend one of the 30 minute workshops, visit the altar, explore the Gardens and enjoy a hot or cold drink.
